Masala French Fries
Ingredients:
2 medium russet potato
2 tablespoons corn starch
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dry mint powder (sukha podina)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper (kali mirch)
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/8 teaspoon citric acid (tatri)
Oil to fry

    I put the spice mixture in a ziplock bag and then added the cut potatoes to the bag to cover them with the spice mixture/ coating. It made it easier to get them evenly coated and was easier to clean up.

    you’ve got it a bit wrong, peanut oil and canola oil are the best for deep frying items. olive oil is a terrible oil for deep frying – it has a very low smoke point and results in soggy food when you deep fry with it, or you can make the food crispy but the food will have a smoky burnt flavor imparted to it by the burning oil.

    I use stove which has numbers instead of medium or medium high. My stove has low and high and have 1 to 9 numbers in between. how do i know if my oil is in medium high as u kept oil for frying the potatoes.
