Chola Tikki Recipe by Manjula
Ingredients:
1 cup of boiled chickpeas (kable chana)
4 medium potatoes
1 tablespoon shredded ginger
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro (green coriander)
2 chopped green chili seeded adjust to your taste
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Oil to shallow fry
For Garnish:
ΒΌ cup yogurt
2 tablespoons hari chutney (cilantro chutney)
2 tablespoons tamarind chutney

I just made these – tasted lovely – did not have green chilli so used chopped sweet red chilli, and did not have fresh ginger so used teaspoon ground ginger. I think I made the patties too big as they broke up a little bit. Next time will make smaller patties and use more oil for frying.

I tried your Chola Tikki, it turned out great, I also tried another method using the same recipe, I took the large reed end of fresh leeks and stuffed the chola tikki mixture into the leeks I then baked them in the oven, we ate 14 between 4 of us and a friend dropped by and finished off the remaining two, both ways were so delicious. Thank you for the video.
