½ pond paneer sliced about 1″ by ¼” pieces
2 medium tomatoes
1 green chilly
¼” piece ginger
½ cup green peas
½ cup yogurt
2 tablespoons oil
Pinch of hing
1 teaspoon in seed
1 tablespoon coriander powder
½ teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon red chilly powder
2 bay leafs
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
1 teaspoon sugar optional

corn starch is to …
corn starch is to thicken the gravy…. but if u add flour directly it will lump. So dissolve in water first… just a little so its not lumpy… then add small amounts and also note as it cools it will thicken more as well. Hope this helps

erm this looks delicious. I thought it was paneer makhani, as many restraunts in the uk serve a similar dish called that. I think that is because the term makhani is used whenever butter is used.

One could include onion,you can fry it and grind it with the tomato to maintain the smooth consistency or if you like a grainier consistency fry them and then add the tomato paste.I’m sure the restaurants surely add onion.
