People everywhere are making choices more connected with their values.
We are simplifying our lives, buying less and living more because we know that the Earth provides enough to satisfy everyone’s need, but not everyone’s greed.
But there is one connected choice that sometimes gets overlooked. It’s one of the most far-reaching personal, practical and ethical choices you can make. With this choice we can help…
… feed ourselves and every hungry person on the planet.
… end deforestation — replenish the deep woods of the North and save our disappearing rainforests.
… revitalize our rural landscapes and save family farms.
… stop the number one polluter of water and the number one waster of water.
… return our oceans to thriving underwater worlds teeming with life and wonder.
… make cancer and heart disease a rarity instead of a common occurrence.
… stop the unnecessary suffering of billions and billions of animals.
… and return wild lands to their rightful owners.
This powerful choice can be done by everyone every day… by you… right now.
Every day you are invited to make choices. Live your values. Change the world.
It’s that simple.

I think all of us …
I think all of us should make an effort to eat less meat or become a vegetarian or vegan. Better still, we can do what H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche does, liberate animals!
I saw his very interesting video here on youtube with the title THE JOY OF LIBERATING ANIMALS. He wants to open an animal shelter too.
yooo u niggaz …
yooo u niggaz i be lovin ma KFC
Hmm.. may be we’re …
Hmm.. may be we’re a bit more concerned with the concentrated farm techniques of big business then. Plus you can’t honestly say that all animals are treated well, not all farmers are wholesome salt of the earth types.
Plus if you look at the WHO/NHS/UN websites that’ll give many reasons why veganism is good.
fortunately, man …
fortunately, man has progressed enough to survive without the need to rely on animals to survive, and also air their views on how we haven’t progressed on the internet.
How about we dont …
How about we dont give a because wen the global warming kills the earth we wont be alive lol so y does it matter to us?
The vegans I’ve met …
The vegans I’ve met have a liberal ideology, so therefore they’re most likely pro-choice. Although they treat people who eat meat like the Pro-life people treat the pro-choice people.
If God didn’t want …
If God didn’t want us to eat animals then why did he make them out of meat
stoopid vegans….
stoopid vegans….
i don’t agree with …
i don’t agree with slaughter either i hate animal cruelty but an omnivirous diet is a way to getr every thing you need in a day with out supplements
Its a chice to be …
Its a chice to be vegan, I say go for it. That just means more meat for me.
I dont support the slaughter houses. Thats why I go hunting.
I don’t want to …
I don’t want to sound like an , but I don’t understand why people would become vegan if they think about it. If health is the reason, just eat meat and animal products in moderation. It’s actually healthy that way and you’ll have a of a lot more energy than a vegan. As for the torture of animals, that’s a pretty rare thing to come across because almost all farmers and ranchers kill their animals painlessly and don’t give them crappy lives. PETA es me off with their propaganda.
so you think god …
so you think god made cows so we could have milk, cheese, yogurt and all our other dairy products? no. plus, even if were meant to eat meat. it doesnt mean were also meant treat them badly
actually no going …
actually no going vegan..rite now =)
im going vegan this …
and im already used to reading the back of cans and boxes so i can do it ..hehe
im going vegan this summer =) im almost excited. it will be hard but i got through the vegetarian thing and that was hard but kinda fun
Would it be fair to …
Would it be fair to say that most or almost all vegans are pro-life?
well most animals …
well most animals in slaughter houses are killed swiftly 2. most of the videos of animal torture u c in peta videos and such is stuff that is outlawed and ppl get arrested for
thirdly i wuld like …
thirdly i wuld like you to prove that eacha nd every on of those animals would still not be alive after every became vegan and stopped killing animals for food letting them over crowd the earht becuase there are no true commanding predators of most animals left except humans leaving the animals in a vegan area to florish taking the vegeatables and crops used to feed a family and still excreting it later and possibly populating more and increasing the problem pass wut a omnivorus planet would
secondly, i would …
secondly, i would like you rto prove that some one eating vegan will have a longer life than an omnivorous human like my self.
first of all meat …
first of all meat isn’t only consumed by humans. every omnivore and carnivore eats anoter animal. humans have done so for thousands of years it is totally natural the inhumanities of slughter farms isn’t i agree but becoming vegan is merely a simple way out and when has a simple choice ever solved any thing? choose to be vegan and your strip yourself of your animalistic instinct that ties you to mother earth.
Thats why I rarely …
Thats why I rarely buy meat from the store. I would say 90% of what I get I hunt for it.
I would have no …
I would have no problem eating an animal that was swiftly killed, but how you could agree with the inhumane treatment animals receive in slaughter houses is beyond me.
If you dont …
If you dont prompote tourture, Then pick up a gun and go hunting. The animals in the woods have a better life than the ones in the slaughter houses.
On second thought, if you would take the vegan diet, seems like your not very bright, maybe you sould stay out of the woods, you would probably shoot you foot off.
Seriously. For all …
Seriously. For all those saying it’s stupid to be a vegan: OFF.
I am so happy I’ve made the decision to become vegan. <3 What they do to animals in slaughter houses is absolutely AWFUL; I will not promote torture.
People who say it …
People who say it is stupid, pointless or funny are making vegans and vegetarians defensive as well. I’m not asking them to change their diet. I’m asking them to take our views seriously and at the very least respect them if they don’t think the same.
What I think a lot …
What I think a lot of die-hard PETA-ers tend to over look is that you’re dividing the planet. To win over more OMNIVORES, non-vegetarians eat vegetables too! I never understood why so many people forget or ignore that term. Compromise will win more people to your cause. Not scare tactics and radical changes from their current lifestyle. Ask them to cut back, maybe one less serving a week, then two, then ask them to go a month without, then a year. You’re just getting people defensive.
Being Vegan for health:
Some people have mentioned that some amount of meat is required for good health. The opposite is true. Even the smallest amount of meat in the diet dramatically increases the risk of the major diseases the west faces: cancer, heart disease, diabetes. This became evident in the largest nutritional study the world has ever seen, now known as ‘the china study’.
What an outstanding book The China Study is and the final proof for anyone who still has doubts about a plant-based vegan diet.
Hi to everyone!!
Just wanted to spread the word that there’s a website where single vegetarians, vegans and raw foodists can meet people who share their values and lifestyles. Strictly no carnivores.
Here’s the link: http://www.singlevegetarians.com/
Cheers,
Maria
