So true! I tire of all these vegan/veg dishes with tofu or the like. People shouldn’t think that they HAVE eat them to be a healthy vegan/vegetarian. Eating a wider, more varied diet of vegetables provides much more nutrients.
Also, you really need to be careful on the amount of soy products you eat. I would completely avoid soy if not organic but even then it contains high levels of estrogen like compounds which has been linked to some health issues.

    I don’t understand …
I don’t understand the whole urge to proteins. I have been a vegan for 17 years and the whole idea of proteins on every meal is pathetic. I think proteins are over rated and a huge myth. Read “the china study”. We don’t give enough credit to vegetables.

    I make my tofu …
I make my tofu scramble about twice a week for breakfast. I think the biggest misconception with vegans is that they are all just crazy far left hippies. I’m sure there are many who are but I actually consider myself a conservative guy who just so happens went vegan. Some famous conservative/libertarian vegans…. Clint Eastwood and John Mackey who is the founder of Whole Foods.

let me ask you this. if you could make a recipe that tastes exactly like a cheeseburger with tofu, what would be the point in using actual beef instead of tofu?

  22. baxterandcotton says:

    So what- it isn’t a …
So what- it isn’t a vegan‘s fault that their palate has developed a certain way because they were raised on certain foods. And what does it being “normal” have to do with anything? Plenty of unethical behavior is normal, but that doesn’t make it right. It’s not “stubborn” to act in accordance with your ethics. It’s stubborn to refuse to act ethically. Go away if you don’t like it.

I must have missed the part where she’s trying to mimic the meat flavors. Why would you be watching this video if you obviously disagree with veganism?

  24. glitch509 says:

    Vegans….why do …
Vegans….why do they always try to mimic meat flavours with tofu and soia…they still have a craving for meat, and it’s normal! we are omnivore creatures…Avoiding this makes you just stubborn.
