Yes, but that's a ...
Yes, but that's a part of being a child. You make mistakes and learn. I get it you want your kids to be healthy, I'm all for that. But people get sick regardless of diet. My concern with these movements is that they portray people that are not like you, who have different opinions and diets as bad people. May you and your children live wonderful healthy lives. I just hope they don't end up looking down on people who do not have the same lifestyle or opportunities.

I'm sorry, but if ...
I'm sorry, but if you let kids choose, they will pick candy, big macs and pop over what's healthy. Even adults make those mistakes and I'm not willing to let my child destroy their health.

You can certainly go ahead and raise your own children like that, but you wouldn't be doing them any favors.

No, because I was ...
No, because I was talking about THEIR choice. They don't have one. And I think that any study would show that a balanced diet is not going to hurt you. I don't think eating hot dogs is really a good idea either. But like I said before, let your kids choose.
FYI: I'm Chippewa, grew up growing plants on my native lands in Wisconsin and I also respect animals, and the planet. And even humans, regardless of their over blown selfishness and pride. I just like kids to be able to have choices.

Can you please ...
Can you please elaborate on WHAT they are getting from meat/dairy that would benefit them?

There is one study after another that shows less meat/no-meat and more fruits and veggies is the most beneficial to human health.

Knowing that meat/dairy is the CAUSE of most disease, I believe it would be child abuse to include those in your childs diet.

FYI: My kids were born vegan and are very well adjusted and compassionate towards animals, humans and the planet.

Raising children on ...
Raising children on a vegan diet is a form of child abuse, they have no choice and their bodies need these things to become healthy. Allow them to choose when they are old enough and then you are being completely respectful of them, otherwise it is as if they never had a choice.
You forget that you are a person who has a choice that you do not respect in your own off spring to choose themselves without disrespecting you. Your so negative when talking about non vegans. Your kids have no choice.

Of course, you have ...
Of course, you have to imply that you are still doing what's best for your child along with giving them a positive upbringing. Any parent that "loves" their child and still poisons them with processed foods has it all wrong.

The great thing about a vegan diet (mostly raw) is that you have a clear mind and you are less prone to falling into traps to so many others.

Love and a positive ...
Love and a positive outlook is not enough. You can teach them all the love and positivity in the world, if you feed them unhealthy alongside they'll simply turn into obese depressed adults.

I think the reality ...
I think the reality is that if what you are teaching your child is POSITIVE, they will stick with it through adulthood.

The people you've met who have been vegans and switched to eating meat most likely lack self-respect and may not care that they are doing harm to themselves. I'm sure there are vegan smokers, but I'll bet that their percentage is much lower than meat-eating smokers.

Raise your child with love and a positive outlook and you won't fail.

"Children eat in ...
"Children eat in later life, as adults, what they were used to eating as a children."
I don't agree with this. In fact, most vegans in the western world today was probably raised on a standard diet.
Also, I've met several people who grew up on vegan or vegetarian food who started eating meat as adults.
But I agree that the chances that a person will eat a healthy diet as an adult is a great deal bigger if they were raised on one.
