  2. ERNIEMAC2 says:

    Ease of digestion …
Ease of digestion has nothing to do with quality of proteins. Indeed, with carbohydrates, the exact opposite is the rule. Sugars and other high GI foods are very easily digested and are the worst types to eat.
I will put all of my diet videos in this signature

  3. emceegeo says:

    veg protein is …
veg protein is easier to digest than animal flesh.

    working out makes …
working out makes you stronger. eating enough calories makes you gain muscle. and protein helps you build muscles.

  9. Carwere says:

    Being vegan doesn’t …
Being vegan doesn’t mean we don’t get any protein. Meat is ONE source… compared to thousands of vegetable sources. If people payed any attention about what they ate, they would know this.

  10. emeraldsunsets says:

    working out and …
working out and ripping the muscle gains muscle mass…not overloading your system and organs unnessecarily

Yeah, thats totally legal in Canada as well, and it’s produced here.

  13. BadgerLady1 says:

I live in the UK, …
I live in the UK, it’s fairly standard here – hemp seeds are in the supermarket (mine is Tesco) … hemp oil is usually in the health food section, or otherwise in any highstreet health shop.

The oil naturally contains a balance of Omega oils that almost entirely matches our body’s requirements. It’s also anecdotally a rememdy to the symptoms of excema.

  14. timetodepop says:

“A drizzle of hemp oil adds a good mix of Omega to the above recipe, but can be an acquired taste. ”

Very interesting…Hemp oil you say?..Where does one obtain that legally?…

  15. BadgerLady1 says:

    I aim for (and …
I aim for (and achieve) 60g protein per day. Much more than that, unless you’re seriously muscle-building, is not only wasted but can strain your kidneys.

Recently made up a new recipe: red quinoa fried in coconut oil, then boiled/soaked with coriander and lemon juice. Added fresh parsley and chopped tomato, then topped with unsalted cashew nuts. Yum!

A drizzle of hemp oil adds a good mix of Omega to the above recipe, but can be an acquired taste.

    Ever hear of too …
Ever hear of too much of a good thing?Diets that too high in protein makes you tired. Protein takes a long time to digest (about four to six hours versus one half to four hours to digest and burn up carbohydrates). Although protein’s slower digestion rate can be a good thing it can also be a negative thing when you overdo it because a large portion of blood leaves the brain and muscles and stays in your stomach (and intestine) for a long period of time for digestion.

  20. JeanLouie1106 says:

    Well the USA RDI …
Well the USA RDI for protein is 50g, here in Australia it’s 55g, either way for a male that does intense weight training, the protein RDI is a pitiful amount. Everybody that has a brain and trains intensely will get in 200-250, up to 300+ if they’re really big, so I think using an example of 220g is a fair example.

  21. emeraldsunsets says:

    since when is 220g …
since when is 220g the average requirement for a person a day? you are waaaay off
