will i lose weight transitioning from lacto-ovo vegetarian to vegan?

i just went vegan from a vegetarian diet (of almost a year or so)… i am just wondering if i will lose weight… it is not my main intention, but i guess it is a plus.. anyways, i was just wondering this.. thank you lots. [=

    Yes, I think so because if you are a lacto-ovo vegetarian and you go vegan you would cut out all the fatty foods such as chocolate and cheese :-)

    Weight loss depends on caloric intake versus caloric burn. If you cut your caloric intake when you switch to veganism, you will lose weight (assuming your level of activity stays the same.) If not, you won’t. I lost roughly 0 pounds, 0 ounces switching from lacto-ovo to vegan.
