Only answer if you are a lacto ovo vegetarian. Thanks.
Im wondering what the lifestyle is like? I know you eat everything but meat, poultry and fish. And you can eat milk and eggs and cheese, basically dairy products.
I want to eat brown (cage free) eggs, which i already do and I was thinking about having soy milk, right now i have low fat or non fat milk. How is soy milk?
Thanks for any info.
I was lacto-ovo-vegetarian for 15 years before I went vegan. It’s really easy and I never missed meat at all. It’s easy enough to eat out (unless you go to McDonald’s or something like that), even steakhouses typically have vegetarian sides. If you want to try soy milk (or rice milk or almond milk or whatever) then go for it. Most stores sell those things. Besides meat you have to watch out for the slaughter by-products such as lard and gelatin if you are a strict lacto-ovo-vegetarian. If you have other questions let us know.
Vegetarians can eat dairy. Vegans can’t.
Soy milk is Awesome…

I used to be a vegetarian, vegan now. Being a vegetarian is slightly harder than being an omnivore, but a lot easier than being a vegan. Most places usually have a vegetarian option. so eating out is usually easy enough. Most other foods generally don’t contain meat, but still contain dairy or eggs, so there isn’t that much that you need to cut out. The lifestyle difference isn’t huge, just try to repace meat with things such as lentils and beans.
As for soy milk, it really depends on what brand you get. I’ve found the taste can vary a lot between them, some taste similar to dairy milk while others taste nothing like it at all. Keep trying different ones until you find one that you like.
Best of luck

You should check your cheese does not have rennet in, it is not vegetarian. Also, brown eggs do not guarantee cage-free hens, they simply denote a different breed of hen.
I’m a vegan, so I no longer consume any egg or dairy. I love chocolate and strawberry flavoured soy milk. I occasionally have regular soy milk in tea or coffee – it can take a while to get used to, though. Have you also considered rice milk, almond milk, oat milk, hazelnut milk..etc.?

I quit eating eggs, because technically, it came from a gross part of a chicken. Peta refers to it as "…eating a chicken’s period…why do you think that blood is found in it sometimes?…".
Soy milk is delicious, but try to find sweetened, unless you are cooking with it for something that isn’t sweet (like bread, etc). It is better than cow milk, and it is better for you. Cow milk could be contaminated, and is risky (because it could be expired).
You avoid meat (like you said), but you also avoid gelatin (Jello), rennet, etc. You should find a list.
Becoming a vegetarian, or even a vegan, is a huge change, but a better one. We aren’t meant to be omnivores, but fungitivores (organisms that eat mainly fruit/vegetables). That’s according to our teeth structure, anyway.
You will feel better, and you will look better. Good luck!

Being vegetarian is SO easy, I am one at the moment, and want to convert to vegan but my dad is a bit uneasy about that.
Soy milk is yummy, so much better than milk from cows, while drinking that your drinking blood and pus from over milking.
