I’m talking about crackers, pasta, muffins, bagel, most cereals, and most bread. This includes “whole wheat” foodstuffs that claim to be diet friendly. Most wheat products are incredibly fattening. Many people also have reactions to the gluten that is found in wheat and grains. Many people don’t realize that we were never designed to consume a great deal of wheat products. Wheat was a minor part of our diets, up until the last 80-100 years. Our intestinal system was established over several hundred thousand years to eat a diet of meats, vegetable, fruits, nuts, and seeds. Our bodies have a hard time processing large amounts of wheat.
Those who eliminate wheat products from their diet, begin to drop weight, and in general, feel healthier in 2-3 weeks. They also reported that headaches and digestive problems that they have endured for years, went away. Many find that skin problems they were suffering from, also went away.
Now let’s discuss fruit juices:
I know! I know! Fruit is supposed to be beneficial for your diet.
You’re right, it is! But when you drink merely the juice from fruit, you consume a high calorie liquid, and leave behind the fiber and other beneficial elements of the fruit. This will make you put on weight. Consuming the whole fruit, gives you the added fiber that you need to curb your appetite. Drinking only the juice, which is high in carbs, leaves you craving for more.
The end result is that drinking too much fruit juice will make you gain weight. Eat the whole fruit, and benefit from all the fiber and nutrients to maintain a healthful diet.
