Hi Everyone,
I’m just getting back from a bachelorette party in Vegas… as you can imagine,my body is craving greens (and sleep)!! Today I’m sharing the world’s easiest salad topper recipe. This is great because it is quick, simple, and you can make it however you like. Here’s how I recommend making it:
1. Spread a single layer of oatmeal, nuts, and seed. Any combination works.Today I’m showing you with just raw slivered almonds and oatmeal, simply because I’m “911? for a trip to the grocery store!
2. Mist with a thin layer of olive oil. (Pam Cooking Spray works too.)
3. Sprinkle heavily together with your favorite seasoning.
four. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 5-8 minutes or until lightly toasted.
5. Sprinkle over salad and enjoy!
Other suggestions: use sesame oil or any other flavored olive oils, seasonings, add flax seeds, sunflower seeds, or any kind of seeds! Change up the nuts or use a variety of different ones. You can allow it to become sweet by having a little maple syrup, Stevia, and cinnamon. Or you can toast the mixture without seasoning and toss it with fresh herbs. The choices are endless!
In any manner you make it, you merely cannot go wrong! I hope you enjoy; have a fantastic week!
