Lori and Tara were both annoyed by the tirade the skinny woman was giving on TV. It must have been the tenth time she explained how to lose tummy fat. She was definitely talking down to the viewers. Both women reached for another handful of chips. They planned to start a new diet on Monday.
It was now Tuesday and they had started an exercise and healthy eating plan yesterday. They went out bike riding in the early morning when it was cool. They went swimming in the afternoon at the home of another friend. After an hour in the large pool, they sat sipping iced tea while they chatted.
On the way home, Lori and Tara remarked on how thin Ruba looked in her bikini. Compared to them, she was almost skinny. This was the way they always classified others. They were either skinny, which was a good thing, or fat, which they thought they were. They were always trying to figure out how to reduce tummy fat. Somehow though, they always gave up after a day or two.
At work, Lori sat behind a desk most of the day. She had so much work piled up that she was constantly on the computer. She did go out to keep appointments but only a few days a week. It’s a fact that those who don’t get enough sleep will be more susceptible overeating. Last month she joined a helpful exercise class and it was working out so far.
Her sister Tara was obligated to keep herself in a state of good health. If she was overweight, she would no be a good representative for the hospital chain she worked for. She tried to exercise every single day. She even walked her dog every night after dinner.
The next morning, getting ready for work, Tara looked at her profile in the mirror. Although she understood how to lose weight successfully, she was having a hard time doing it. Her skirt waistbands and slacks waistbands were always a little too tight. These worries continued as she seated herself at her workstation desk at the office.
She decided right then. Tomorrow she would start using that exercise video that was collecting dust on the game system. She’d do some sit ups and lift five pound weights like she used to. Maybe Lori would come over and exercise with her on weekends. She smiled to herself as she contemplated them both being successful on an exercise regimen.
You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be really something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
