The effect of animal products on asthma and allergies

I have had very bad asthma since I was two to the point where I would end up in the hospital with pneumonia a few times every year with complications due to a cold, flu or allergies. I became a vegetarian in 1987 and since then I have primarily been a vegetarian with a few years being a vegan. However, once in a while I would eat some kind of animal products because unfortunately, I still love the flavor – I know, I know…
Since 1987, I have basically been using myself as a human guinea pig, and the one thing that is incredible and undeniable even though I have been trying to ignore, is that whenever I eat some animal products whether it be eggs, dairy, or any meat, my allergies gets worse and I start to get sick. Not right away, but a few hours or even a day later. And then it takes a few days for me to get healthy again after stopping eating the animal items.
The China Study by Dr. Campbell talks about how much animal products can cause other illnesses like heart disease and cancer, but I do not think allergies or asthma have been studied with their correlation to foods – with the exception of dairy products. And from what I read in the China Study, I have a hunch there is a good chance that the studies were probably suppressed so nobody would find out.
So what I am asking is if you have ever noticed any correlation between eating animal products and your asthma or allergies being worse or better? And if not, I would urge you to try being a vegan for a couple of weeks to see if symptoms improve. Let me know if you do – I would love to know if we are onto something.
