With almost 100% certainty, I predict that one day animals will be treated with the full respect granted to humans. No longer will they be imprisoned and slaughtered for meager human gains. No more will they be experimented on in the name of science. It will be considered barbaric to eat the flesh of another sentient being, just as cannibalism is seen as barbaric now.

Just because there is concern with animals does not mean there isn’t attention to all exploitation – It’s all related…. what a society permits in it’s mistreatment of animals – reflects in the way we treat each other. Racism, sexism and speciesism is all inter-connected. The generosity of rights must be extended to all living beings in order to be a consistant moral code.
